系统入口至多介质过滤器为前处理单元，主要处理来自水中过多的有机物、悬浮物、微生物及胶体，用以保护超滤的正常运行和安全运行；超滤装置为预处理单元，用于进一步去除水中的有机物、悬浮物、微生物及胶体，保护反渗透的正常运行；一 级反渗透为脱盐单元，用于脱除水中大部分的溶解盐类，一些有机大分子和前阶段未去除的小颗粒；二级反渗透和原有脱盐水混床组成深度脱盐单元，用于进一步去除残余的溶解盐类和有机大分子及小颗粒，为混床末级精处理创造条件。
