变频恒压供水系统以管网水压(或用户用水流量)为设定参数，通过微机控制变频器的输出频率从而自动调节水泵电机的转速，实现管网水压的闭环调节(PID)，使供水系统自动恒稳于设定的压力值：即用水量增加时，频率升高，水泵转速加快，供水量相应增大；用水量减少时，频率降低，水泵转速减慢，供水量亦相应减小，这样就保证了供水效率用户对水压和水量的要求，同时达到了提高供水品质和供水效率的目的，“用多少水，供多少水”；采用该设备不需建造高位水箱，水塔，水质无二 次污染，是一种理想的现代化建筑供水设备。
